TRIBANDHA ASANA


Introduction:

         The practice of this asana is done with the help of three bandhas altogether, so it is called Tribandha Asana.

Spread a mat or bed sheet on the floor and sit upon it in Padma Asana for the practice of this asana. For Padma Asana, keep your right leg on the left thigh and left leg on the right thigh. Technique:

        The practice of this asana should be done on clam, clean and airy place. Spread a mat or bed sheet on the floor and sit upon it in Padma Asana for the practice of this asana. For Padma Asana, keep your right leg on the left thigh and left leg on the right thigh. Then, keep both the hands on the knees. Now give pressure on both the hands while inhaling and do the practice of Mool Bandha viz pull your stomach inward by drawing anus upward. In addition to, touch your chin to the throat and do the practice of Jalandhara Bandha. Close your eyes in the position of this asana.

The practice of this asana is useful for the practice of ulcer, colitis, asthma, acidity, indigestion, constipation, chest disorders, gas disorders, retention of urine, anus disorders, piles and bloody piles. This asana also eliminates polluted gas from the lungs and increases working capacity of the heart.
