Mango ginger is bitter and spicy in taste. Taking over quantity of mango ginger may be harmful for the heart.Introduction:      

     Mango ginger tree is like turmeric tree too. Difference of both is that the leaves of mango ginger are long and sharp than turmeric. The burl of mango ginger is big and red from inside, but turmeric burl is small and yellow. It has no contraction and wrinkle, but turmeric has contraction and wrinkle.

Structure:  It is root of a tree, which grows in soil.

Nature:      Mango ginger is hot in nature.

Precautions: Taking over quantity of mango ginger may be harmful for the heart.

Dosage: Mango ginger can be taken in 4 grams quantity.

Quality: It is easy digestible and eliminates gas. It breaks stone and ends retention of urine, wound and hurt. Brushing with its soft branch cures all the types of mouth diseases. It is also useful for the treatment of cough, hiccups and breathing problems.

Useful in Different Diseases:

1. Swelling: Spray powder of mango ginger on marrow of aloe-vera and heat it. Tying it on the affected part is useful to get relief in swelling and wound.

2. Small pox marks (Masoorika): Grind mango ginger, root of sarkanda and toasted Kouri together then filter it. Mix this mixture with buffalo milk and apply it on the face and go for bed. Now soak chalf (Bhoosy) in water at overnight. In the next morning, wash the face with this water twice a day to remove the marks of small pox.

3. Hurt:

  • Grind fuller’s earth and mango ginger 10 grams each with water and coat it on cloth. After that, tie it on the affected part to get relief in hurt.
  • Heat ground mango ginger and tie it on the affected part, it cures hurt and ends swelling.
  • Grind 20 grams scabby catechu, 20 grams mango ginger, 3 grams camphor and 3 grams clove with water. After that, tie this paste on the affected part with bandage to get relief in stroke.
  • Grind mango ginger, Murmakki and common tallow lawrel 10 grams each with water there after heat it. After that, apply it on the affected part to cure them.

4. Wound: Grind mango ginger and fuller’s earth 10 grams each together then mix it with 50 ml heat oil. Immerse a cotton piece in this mixture after cooling and tie it on the affected part, it cures wound quickly.

5. Bone weakness:

  • Grind Malabar catmint (Choudhra) and mango ginger 10 grams each together then fry it with ghee. Grind fuller’s earth and black salt 5 grams each together there after mix it in above mixture. After that, tie it on the affected part to get benefit in broken bone and injury.
  • The patient should take 3 grams mango ginger with water twice a day as well as grind common tallow lawrel, Indian beech, fuller’s earth, raw alum and mango ginger 10 grams each with water. Coat it on the cloth and tie it on the affected part with bandage. Using this process is useful to get benefit in broken bone.

6. Guilty (Tumour):

  • Grind mango ginger, linseed, morrow of aloe-vera and spogal seeds together then heat it on fire. After that, apply it on the affected part to end swelling and tumour.
  • Store separate 10 grams mango ginger, 6 grams blue vitriol (Neela Thotha), 10 grams resin, 6 grams gum guggul and 10 grams jaggery. Now grind only dried things from above things and mix jaggery in it. After that, tie it on the affected part to get relief and to burst tumors quickly.
  • Grind equal quantity of mango ginger, lime and jaggery together there after coat it on the affected part, it bursts tumors soon.

7. Stomachache: Mix mango ginger with black salt and take it with water, it provides relief in stomachache.

8. Syphilis: Grind 10 grams mango ginger, 10 grams resin, 10 grams jaggery, 6 grams blue vitriol and 6 grams gum guggul together. Tying it on the affected parts provides relief in syphilis early.

9. Jaundice: Mix 7 grams powder of mango ginger and 5 grams powder of white sandal with honey. Jaundice is cured by taking this mixture twice a day for 7 days regularly.

10. Scabies, Itching and Black marks of the face: Apply ground mango ginger on the affected part to get relief in scabies and itching.
