A pot or lota of long nozzle is needed for jalneti. Such type of pot is available everywhere easily.
Heat salt mixed water until it becomes lukewarm for this activity. Thereafter, fill this water in the pot of nozzle. Now put attach nozzle in the nostril which is used for breathing by sitting. Keep the mouth open. After that, raise nozzle part some upward and drip water in the nostril. The water begins to come out from the second nostril by doing so. The nozzle should be separated from the nostril after finishing the water. Thereafter, do this activity from the second nostril by filling water in this pot. Keep attention that while dripping water in the nostrils, mouth should be kept open and take breath (inhaling and exhaling) through the mouth. After completing this activity, do the practice of kapalabhanti or bhastrika prayanama.
This activity is difficult so be careful while doing the practice of this activity and let the come out properly from the nostrils because presence of water can be the cause of catarrh or headache. Therefore, do this activity in the supervision of any experienced person. Do the practice of kapalabhanti or bhastrika prayanama after jalneti.
