Indian gentian root is small, pungent and bitter in taste, hot and dry in nature, digestible, stimulating and nutritive. It cures vatta, swelling, fever, blood disorders, white flecks and wound. It brings phlegm and kills the stomach worms. It increases urine quantity and purifies the blood. It causes sweat and purifies the breast too.
Indian gentian is useful for the treatment of indigestion, flatulence, amoebic dysentery, piles, liver disorders, pain, stomach diseases, anuria-dysuria, retention of urine, pain during menstrual excretion, blood disorders, mentally illusion, jaundice and the body weakness.
