Trees of gmelina arberea are 12-18 meters high. Color of fine powder of its stem is dusty which turns in light colorful after old. Its bark is green from upper side after that light yellow and centre is white. Its leaves are 5-10 centimeters long and 2.5-8 inches wide like heart shape or leaves of ficus rumphi. Its flower is yellow with light red which has 1-2 seeds. Its tree has not leaves in the autumn season. Its flowers appear in the spring season and fruits in the summer season.
Its root contains dark oil of yellow color and little benzoic acid. Its fruit contains butyric and tartaric chemical, one chharabh, sugar, racin and a little bitter liquid.
