In this bath, one or more than one stream of water is poured on the weak parts of the body and there is no pressure on these organs.
Material- There should be a facility to pour cold water on the body by a big jug or any nozzle
Water temperature- The temperature of the water should be 18-5 degree Celsius.
Technique- The patient should sit or stand by paying attention on affected part slowly thereafter cold water should be poured on the affected part.
Precaution- Affected part should be fomented before the treatment.
Benefits- If someone takes this bath from 30 seconds to 3 minutes, it affects to the patient like a tonic whereas this bath for long time is useful for the treatment of anemia. The temperature of the patient comes down by pouring cold water on his head.
Neutral effusion -
Material- All the things, which are used in cold bath
Temperature of the Water - Temperature of the water should be 32-36 degree Celsius in this bath.
Technique- This bath should be like neutral effusion.
This bath named effusion bath provides lots of relief in the problem of spinal cord. This bath is also useful in the pain of muscles and joint. Choked phlegm comes out by taking neutral effusion on the upper part of the waist and the patient gets much relief in treatment of chronic bronchitis, symphsema, emphysema, asthma, infection of breathing pipe etc.
Warm symposium -
Material- All the things, which are used in cold effusion
Water temperature- 40-50 degree Celsius
Technique- This bath should be taken like cold effusion but cold water should be poured on the affected part after warm effusion bath.
Benefits- This bath is useful in providing relief in the pain of muscles and joints.
Warm and cold effusion -
Material- There should be two pipes for this bath, which may supply warm and cold water successively. Two buckets can be used instead of pipes- one bucket for cold water and second for warm water.
Water temperature- Warm water 42-45 degree Celsius and cold water 18-20 degree Celsius
Technique- Cold water is poured for one minute on the affected portion after pouring warm water on it. After repeating this technique for four times and before finishing this technique, cold water is poured on the affected part too.
Benefits- Pouring cold water and warm water successively works like accelerator and medicine. This process improves blood circulation in the affected portion of the body. Due to these effects, this technique is used on the infected affected part only in that condition when drowning that part in water completely is not necessary. A person gets relief in the pain of muscles and sprain by this technique. Pain and swelling of the joints disappear by doing so. It is useful in the treatment of joints pain and swelling as well as in rheumatoid arthritis.
Bath with cold water-
Mostly, people do not bathe in the cold water because eof cold. Taking bath with cold water in the morning works like a medicine. Nerves, blood circulation and their centers become active after bath too. A person, who bathes in cold water regularly, can take bath with cold in the winter season too and remains far from any bad effect on the body. It depends on the patient how much time he can take bath in cold water. The patients, who have been suffering from common cold or sizesitis, should take bath in cold water maximum 2-3 minutes and they should avoid from cold air while taking bath. If you take bath in cold water in summer season, your body will become active throughout the day.
This bath is useful in getting rid of the laziness and physical tiredness as well as for keeping the mental balance fit. A person gives up all the bad habits taking wine, intoxicating medicines, smoking etc. take bath with cold water just after warm treatment. It should be done for sustaining the warmth, which is gotten by the body during treatment.
Material- Fountain jointed with pipe (hand shower).
Water temperature- The temperature of the tap should be about 18-24 degree Celsius
Technique of bath- This bath should be taken for ten minutes.
Technique- Moving the hand shower in round circle, the stream of water is poured on the head (which gives pressure in the middle). After that, the cold covering should be kept on the head for 45-60 minutes.
Benefits- There is an improvement in the blood circulation by pouring the stream of water on the head. Generally, body veins start to contract in the beginning by this bath but after sometime, these veins start to stretch. This technique is beneficial in the case of giddiness, baldhead, epistaxis, sunstroke, fever, epilepsy, migraine, high blood pressure, insomnia etc.
Precaution- The person, who has been suffering from sinusitis, malaria, weakness and asthma, should not use this technique.
