Quality: The raw fruit of dillenia indica is bitter and pungent in taste and heavy in digest. Its ripe fruit is sweet, sour and pungent in taste and cool in nature. Dellenia indica fruit normalizes vatta, pitta and kapha and cures fever. It is useful to cure mouth disorders and alleviate poison.    

Use of dillenia indica: Dillenia indica is used to cure several types of diseases as- tridosa (Vatta, pitta and kapha), fever, mouth disorders, indigestion and weakness and quenches thirst. It also increases appetite and alleviates the effect of poison.

For example, make syrup by mixing pulp of dillenia induce fruit with water and sugar there after give it to the patient, it ends bile disorders and also cures fever soon.

Precautions: Taking over quantity of dillenia indica fruit may be the cause of diarrhea (Loose motions), because it’s over quantity causes warmth in the stomach. It can cause the condition of loose motions.
