Common Fumitory is cool in nature. It is dry and heavy. Its taste is pungent and bitter and its shape is small. It is nutritive, digestible, stimulant and blood-purgative. It increases gas and urine. Voice becomes clean by using it. It removes kapha-pitta, over thirsty and burning sensation. It restrains bleeding and excites the liver. It cures many diseases as- fever, anorexia, indigestion, and liver disease, blood disorder due to bile, spermatorrhoea, mental illusion, vomiting and retention of urine.
