Bahi Sarit Chakrika

BAHI SARIT CHAKRIKA

Introduction-

The trunk of the body is made because of joining spinal cord, sternum and ribs. The length of spinal cord is 2/5 part in the whole body. Bones, which make spinal cord, are called vertebrae.

There are 33 kinds of vertebrae in the spinal cord of a young person. They are found on the different portions in the body as- 7 near the neck, 12 on the breast, 5 in the loin region, 5 in sacrum and 4 vertebrae are present near the anus part.

Fiber cartilage intra disc is present between the first vertebras of the sacrum from the close by vertebra. All the disks are made of fibrous ring of an external fiber cartilage and an internal soft, pulpy and flexible structure nucleus pulpous. Joints of disks are strong by which spinal cord can move in different ways and disk imbibes all the jolts.

Compressors forces have to bear by bearing the jolts of intra vertebrae disc. Vertebrae between fourth and fifth vertebrae of waist and fifth vertebra of waist and discs between the sacrum have to bear much forces comparison to other disks. If frontal or backward nerves are wounded or weak, there is so much heavy pressure on the nucleus pulpous that it tears the near by fibrous cartilages. In this situation, nucleus pulpous comes out either from the back side or the vertebrae of the front side. This situation is called herniated disc or stepped disc.

Mostly, nucleus pulpous slips slowly backwards towards the spinal cord and its nerves. By this movement, there is a pressure on the nerves of the spinal cord by which unbearable pain occurs sometimes. Cough, sneezing or other physical activities increases the internal pressure of the stomach after originating because of which other symptoms of the diseases increases. Mostly, spasm originates in the neck muscles.
